  • PCTG pass: cross-check Chapter 8 against maker interview and MyTechFun tests - §8.6 fiber grades re-based as brand-dependent: 3D-Fuel's 10% CF/GF measured tougher than unfilled on Izod/Charpy with layer adhesion at least as good; GF below unfilled on XY tensile (impact-modified compound); low-load fiber heat gain ~tens of °C vs the 2-3 °C TDS delta (§22.4 method lesson); matte black ~4% CF with hardened nozzle required per vendor page - Staleness: Table 24.1/8.6 bed default now textured PEI (bare G10 for gloss undersides); 3D-Fuel nozzle window 250-280 (255-270 recommended, >=245 floor) verified against live vendor pages; drying 60-70 °C 4-8 h aligned across Tables 3.1/8.6/A.3; speed row reframed as flow-limited (vendor CoreXY profiles to 250 mm/s) - Honesty: §8 intro records the vendor's 20-30x -> 8-12x test-bar correction with printed parts staying 2-3x; Table 8.3 heat margins framed as ceilings (independent test at the low end of the vendor's 5-15 °C band); §8.11 layer adhesion placed in the average-PETG band and the 20,000-h weathering claim noted as vendor-tier; §8.9 gains compressive/gasket fit, the five-day creep result, and a no-pressure-advance disqualifier - Enrichments: §8.8 minimum-layer-time bullet; Table 8.5 color program and Essentium 2017 debut; §7.7 HF-grade qualification clause; §30.1 microwave pre-dry note (GF reported practice, CF never) - Provenance: four D.6 ledger rows (3D-Fuel guidance pages + CEO interview, two MyTechFun videos cited qualitatively per D.1); Source-Manifest rows 8.3/8.5/8.6; D.5 pass record - .gitignore: per-iteration review reports excluded by name (standing rule) Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

  • Add §2.6: the TPE/TPU marketing label vs ISO 18064 nomenclature New Chapter 2 subsection on the fourth label-vs-chemistry confusion: vendors sell "TPE" and "TPU" as sibling materials, while ISO 18064:2022 defines TPE as the umbrella class for all thermoplastic elastomers with TPU one of its named classes - a bare "TPE" label is usually an unidentified TPS (SEBS-class) or TPO compound. The subsection summarizes and cross-references the clause-verified class table in §16.1 (Table 16.1) rather than duplicating it, and ties to the §2.3 PAHT pattern. Chapter 2 intro count updated from three to four confusions. make check passes (sections 228 -> 229). Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

  • Accuracy pass 5: fix 10 consolidation-drift findings Implements the 2026-07-11 documentation-accuracy follow-up report: 10 findings, mostly appendix/workflow roll-up tables that had not inherited the pass-4 chapter corrections. This message is the finding-level record of the pass. `make check` passes: source hygiene, cross-references and manifest coverage, brand index (44 rows). Fixes (report numbering): 1. A.3 PCL nozzle 85-95 -> 100-140 C by grade (3D-pen grades 80-100), per Ch 21. Deviation: bed kept at 20-30 C rather than the report's 20-45 - the wider figure traces only to a Polyfluor datasheet, a vendor the volume does not survey, and A.3 synthesizes the chapter ("bed unheated or barely warm") 2. A.3 PVDF nozzle 230-250 -> 235-265 C (FluorX 245-265), per Ch 17; bed 90-110 C was already present; FluorX product page ledgered in D.6 3. PC-CF/GF envelopes now include Ultrafuse PC GF30: Table 15.5 nozzle -> 275-330 C; Table 15.6 -> 275-300 (GF30: 280-330); A.3 -> 275-330 (GF30: 280-330). Dependent fix the report missed: Table 15.2's GF30 note said the vendor window "exceeds the Table 15.6 family range" and would have gone stale - it now reads "sets the top of the Table 15.6 family range" 4. A.3 PE/HDPE row filled from Spectrum's product page (verified live before adoption): bed 80-100 C, enclosure recommended for larger prints, no drying requirement, Tier 2; the same guidance added to Ch 12 §12.1 so the appendix keeps chapter-synthesis provenance; Spectrum HDPE page ledgered in D.6 5. Table 14.2 PPA wet-stiffness cell -> "grade-dependent (Bambu PPA-CF ~2-3%)" so the table reads correctly standalone (the caption already scoped the figure to Bambu PPA-CF) 6. A.2 unfilled-PP mechanicals aligned with Ch 11's widened envelope: tensile 10-25 MPa, modulus 0.25-1.4 GPa, elongation 100-800+% 7. Table 24.1 PEBA bed 50-60 -> 50-90 C with a "Flexfill PEBA 90A specifies 70-90" note; now consistent with Table 16.4 and A.3 8. Convection-oven drying row: PA6 removed from the 100-140 C bucket; PA6/PA66 pointed back to the 80-90 C dryer class (spools deform above 90 C, per Part I §3.5) 9. A.3 PHA bed "0-60" -> "20 (cold-bed)-60", matching Table 24.1's cold-bed convention 10. check-source-hygiene.sh now skips all report artifacts (FDM-Wiki-Review-Report.md, Accuracy-Audit-*.md, Documentation-Accuracy-Fix-Report.md); README layout note updated to match Plumbing: - D.6: 3DXTech FluorX PVDF and Spectrum HDPE product-page rows added - Source-Manifest: 15.2 and 15.6 Checked -> July 2026 - Appendix C: Fillamentum row gains Ch 24 (the new Flexfill mention in Table 24.1, caught by scan-brand-mentions --verify) - Appendix D.5 verification history -> five passes / 183 findings Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

  • Fix 27 findings from the third accuracy review Major (factually wrong): - DiamondBack nozzles attributed to US Synthetic, not E3D, and described as PCD-tip rather than hardened steel (all five mentions, Parts I/III/IV/VI) - PE environmental-stress-cracking claim inverted: ESC is the classic PE failure mode; PP is the less ESC-prone polyolefin - PA66 nozzle split out to 280-300 C (260-280 was PA6-only, near-zero superheat over PA66's 255-265 C Tm) - HTN+CF un-grouped from "far above the prosumer envelope" (3DXTech's window sits inside Table 14.7); qualifier now FibreX-only - Nonexistent "PolyMax TPU95" replaced with PolyFlex TPU95-HF (Table 16.5 and Appendix C) - PVA dissolution bath split by model Tg: 25-35 C for PLA, 40-60 C only for PETG/ABS-on-BVOH - Polyolefin bonding now cites Loctite Plastics Bonding System (SF 770 primer + CA) and DP8010, not Plastic Bonder - PC/PTFE repositioned as the stiffness/heat step-up (PEEK for heat + chemistry) in Table 22.2 - PEBA 40D HDT corrected to ~45-55 C (80-95 belongs to 63D-72D grades); continuous service marked grade-dependent - PA6-CF density harmonized to 1.15-1.23 (~1.20 at 20% CF) Minor: PVB no longer classed as a biodegradable (Ch 21 retitled "Niche polymers"; ToC anchor updated); wood-filled PLA needs bore, not hardness; PC-blend tensile envelope matches its own tables (~40-65 MPa); FR-PC row sourced from Table 15.4 (HDT 86-113, tensile n/p); block-copolymer claim scoped to TPU/TPEE/PEBA; Bambu PPA-CF modulus ~1.3x PPA-CF average (2x vs PA6-CF class); PVDF HF onset attribution reconciled (316 C stability ceiling, ~350 C SDS decomposition, rapid by ~400 C); PPS ~120 C crystallization chamber correctly placed beyond Tier 3/entry Tier 4; POM bed surface "POM-coated sheet"; unsupported CryoGrip note dropped from PA6/PA66; PVDF removed from the 50-100 price tier; paint-vs-bonding primers untangled in 26.3; Porthcurno pointers fixed; Appendix C chapter pointers corrected for Kexcelled, BCN3D, Spectrum, FormFutura, Polymaker; Zytel/Delrin ownership updated (Celanese / Jordan Co). Unverified-softened: PCD-tip electrical-contact probing claim now "not vendor-guaranteed - confirm with the vendor" (Parts I and VI). Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

  • Address publish-readiness review: Appendix A coverage, DCM currentness, auditability Content fixes from the full wiki review (P1/P2/P3): - Appendix A now covers all in-scope materials: A.1 gains PVA/BVOH, PVB, PHA, and PCL rows (documented values only; n/p cells are deliberately unpopulated, per new note (d)); A.2 states explicitly why support/niche polymers are omitted; A.3 gains the missing PHA and PCL process rows. - DCM regulatory note updated to current EPA status: consumer uses prohibited, most industrial/commercial uses prohibited or phasing out, limited continuing uses under the Workplace Chemical Protection Program, with post-publication compliance-date adjustments (non-federal labs, Nov 2025); access date and EPA page recorded. - Appendix B separates completed profiles from in-progress work: the pending Prusament ASA row moves to prose below Table B.1, and a legend defines "tuned" and "geometry-dependent (not converged)". - New D.6 source ledger records known document versions (Bambu PPA-CF TDS V1.0, PolyMax PC V5.4, Ultrafuse PC/ABS FR v1.2, 89 FR 39254, ISO 18064:2022, NIOSH pubs, key vendor pages) with check dates. - D.5 gains a revision-and-verification policy: six-month re-check cadence for brand/price/regulatory content, verification history recorded (May 2026 compilation; July 2026 accuracy passes, 65 findings). - Home.md gains a compact "Start here" section exposing the volume's structure to readers landing from outside. Deferred from the review by design: the mass prose re-wrap (P2) - it would rewrite every paragraph line and destroy blame utility; recommend as a standalone pass if wanted. • Source hygiene: remove all 20,945 U+00AD soft hyphens, normalize heading spacing Mechanical cleanup per the publish-readiness review (P1/P3): - Strip every soft hyphen from the 14 content pages (verified byte-level: each file is exactly its previous content minus U+00AD). Fixes source search, browser find, copy/paste, screen-reader output, and diffs. - Insert a blank line before the 34 headings that directly followed a non-blank line, for renderer portability and lintability. - Add check-source-hygiene.sh so both regressions fail fast. No visible-text changes. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

  • Restructure Parts VIII-XII: elastomers, specialty, high-temp, niche Split the Part VIII grab-bag into four parts, keeping chapter numbers 16-21 unchanged so every existing section/table cross-reference stays valid: - Part VIII - Thermoplastic elastomers (Ch 16) - Part IX - Specialty engineering thermoplastics: PMMA/POM/PVDF (Ch 17) - Part X - High-temperature polymers: PPS, sulfones, PEI, PAEK (Ch 18-19) - Part XI - Support and niche polymers (Ch 20-21) - Part XII - Cross-cutting workflows (Ch 22-28, renamed from Part IX) Chapter 16 reorganized around ISO 18064:2022 nomenclature: - New 16.1 explains that ISO defines TPE as the umbrella term for the whole category (TPU included), while spool labels use "TPE" as if it named a specific soft material - usually an unidentified styrenic (TPS/SEBS) or thermoplastic polyolefin elastomer (TPO). New Table 16.1 maps the seven ISO classes to market/trade names and FDM availability; chemistry sections tagged with ISO classes (TPU, TPC, TPA). - New 16.8 consolidated elastomer process-parameter table (Table 16.4), closing the gap flagged in the accuracy review (A.3 was previously the only source); values consolidate 16.5-16.7, A.3, and the B.2 bench profile. A.3 TPU nozzle widened to 220-260 C to cover the measured 64D profile. - Subsections renumbered 16.1-16.11, tables 16.1-16.5; internal references updated. Navigation updated throughout: sidebar, contents page and preface (Parts II-XI, Part XII), footer prev/next chains, Part I 1.1 elastomer family bullet now states the ISO 18064 umbrella. Old page URLs FDM-Part-VIII-Specialty-and-high-performance and FDM-Part-IX-Cross-cutting-workflows are superseded. Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

  • Fix 53 accuracy-review findings across all nine parts Corrections verified against vendor TDS and primary sources: High severity: - Fiberlogy PCTG prints 250-270 C, not 230-260; PCTG moved from Tier 1 to Tier 2 (Table 4.1, Table 8.6, Appendix A.3) - Siraya annealing guidance was inverted: unfilled Fibreheart PPA is marketed as annealable (80-100 C, 4-8 h) (Part I 3.6, Part VI 14.9) - FibreX PPA+GF15 flagged as Tier-4 industrial (365-390 C nozzle), exempt from the Table 14.7 prosumer window - Ultrafuse PC/ABS FR rail cert corrected to EN 45545-2:2016 R26 (EL10) HL1-HL3; HDT 86 C - iglidur i151, not I150, is the FDA food-contact grade - DCM guidance now carries the 2024 EPA TSCA consumer-use ban (89 FR 39254) and precise OSHA/IARC framing Medium/low: removed nonexistent SKUs (Siraya NylonPro/Mecha/Mushroom, Forward AM PEBA, Fillamentum/Spectrum PMMA, ECO-PC FR); fixed misattributions (NylonX, CarbonX/ThermaX/3DXLABS naming, Arnitel to Envalior); corrected figures (HTN+CF 106 MPa, PEI RTI ~170 C, PEI HDT 153-190 C, POM HDT@0.45 155-175 C, PolyMax PC 53.4 MPa and 90 C stress-relief anneal, ESD-PC >10^6-10^9 ohm/sq); Table 14.1 moisture column moved to saturation basis; PP-CF and PPS-CF process settings made brand-split per vendor TDS; added Fillamentum Flexfill PEBA 90A; harmonized PC-blend Tg to 109-145 C and chamber capability in B.1; propagated all fixes to Appendix A/C mirrors and cross-references. • Repair conversion artifacts: paragraph breaks, fused captions, broken markup - Joined 14 sentences split across paragraph boundaries by stray blank lines (Parts I, III, IV, V, VI, VIII, IX, Appendix E.3). - Inserted the missing blank line after 8 table captions that were merging into the following paragraph via lazy continuation, including the B.3/B.4 headers glued on by the split-table merge and one extra instance found by sweep (Table 15.6). - Split the collapsed D.1 header from the MyTechFun entry title. - Fixed broken inline markup: Table 8.2 Izod bold, §7.4 variant-list bolding, the displaced Tg subscript in §14.9, the migrated mm³ superscript in §28.1, and anchored Table A.1's dangling footnote (b). • Widen PPA-CF property envelopes to cover the wiki's own product data Appendix A.1 HDT cap 200 -> 230 °C (footnote (c) reworded: ~190–230 °C for annealed/process-tuned grades, up to ~240 method-dependent); Part VI Table 14.2 PPA HDT span 80–200 -> 80–230 with a caption that names the 260 °C GF outlier; Appendix A.2 tensile floor for 15–20% CF drops to 95 MPa (covers Siraya 98 and Qidi 110). • Align Appendix A.3 hardware tiers and process parameters with Part I and the family chapters - PA6/PA66/PA-CF move to Tier 2 in Part I Table 4.1 (matching A.3 and Part VI §13.5); Tier 3 keeps only large-format use. - The merged PC-CF/GF/ESD row is split; ESD-PC is Tier 2 with its own Table 15.6 bed/chamber/drying values (the merge had blended columns). - PCTG: tier 1–2 with new footnote (e); nozzle range follows the corrected Table 8.6 (230–280). Part I's Tier 1 Fiberlogy example reworded to fit the stated <=250 °C ceiling. - PP family: tier 1 (unfilled) / 2 (GF, CF). - PA12/612/11: chamber 'open OK; passive beneficial'; PA nozzle ceilings conformed to Part VI Table 13.3 (245–275 / 260–280). - PEI-CF: chamber 'active 85+ (65 marginal)' per vendor spec; Part IX Table 25.1 annotated; A.3 footnote softened to 'run marginally'. - PPA drying: Part I Table 3.1 now brand-dependent 80–140 °C, 4–12 h. - ASA bed widened to 95–110 °C in Part IV (bench profile runs 95). - ABS shrinkage cell clarifies bulk shrinkage vs converged XY compensation. • Resolve 15 internal contradictions across Parts I–IX Each fix keeps the better-evidenced side: PCTG stays 'forgiving' (bucket parenthetical softened); PP-GF moisture is formulation-specific; Table 8.6 nozzle range widened to its own vendor notes (230–280); HDT-gap caption now attributes the 99→76 °C gap to base-resin choice; PP solvent list no longer claims DCM/toluene leave PP unaffected; PP-CF modulus envelope extended to cover the Braskem datum (2.0–6.5 GPa, caption note added); PA612/PA11 wet-modulus ranges tightened to match the corroborated ~25%/~20% loss column; FR Tg-penalty claim scoped to PC/ABS-FR; PC-CF/GF envelope widened to include blend-CF products (Table 15.5 + Appendix A.1); GP PC blend nozzle floor unified at 260; 85–110 °C chamber correctly labeled beyond-Tier-3; PEI harmonized at 85 °C chamber floor with 65 °C noted as marginal, 9085-CF nozzle range scoped; compression set 15–40% for solid grades; decision-table Step 2 threshold lowered to 150 °C (no coverage gap); CoPA split out of the PA6/PA66 bed-adhesion row into its own 50–70 °C row. • Correct twelve factual errors across the reference Safety: PTFE hot-zone threshold lowered from 280 °C to ~250 °C (aligns with the wiki's own §15.7 liner caution and PTFE's ~260 °C continuous service limit). Values: Fillamentum PMMA Tg 80→~105 °C (HDT 94 > Tg was impossible; family range and Table A.1 updated to 100–110); PEBA 40D Tm ~200→~160 °C (Pebax 4033 TDS). Mechanisms: PP smears under power sanding (claim was inverted); filled PC absorbs slightly less at saturation, not more; POM stiffness comes from crystallinity, not sub-ambient Tg; PPS tooling wear is corrosive (sulfur species), not backbone abrasion; LW-PLA brass rationale replaced. Attribution: Porthcurno (recycled PA6) removed from the Recycled PP row (Braskem FL900PP-CF substituted); 3D-Fuel removed as POM vendor; PolyTerra (carbon-offset, not recycled-content) removed from the recycled-content list; 'all CHDM-containing' softened to 'glycol-modified' (t-glase is PETT). • Fix wrong and dangling cross-references - Part I §1: PLA family reference pointed at Chapter 9 (PET); the PLA chapter is Chapter 6. - Part I §5: dropped the reference to an Appendix B G-code template that never existed (confirmed against git history). - Part III §8: the PCTG top-surface comparison now points at the PP-CF dishing passage in §11.6 (the only such discussion in the wiki) instead of a nonexistent 'PC Blend issue'; 'between rafters' → 'between infill lines'. • Fix four ToC anchors broken by em-dash slug handling GitHub slugs collapse ' — ' (and ' / ') in headings to a double hyphen; the ToC links for chapters 8, 11, 14, and 15 used a single hyphen and landed at the top of the target page.
