Seal of Righteousness Icon Seal of Righteousness (SoR)

Overview

Seal of Righteousness (SoR) deals Holy damage that scales with its rank, your player level, weapon speed, weapon type, and talents. It also has a Spell Power (SP) contribution that effectively totals 20% SP for ranks 3 and above due to double scaling.

How to Use the Table

Use the base damage table to calculate your final proc damage based on your setup:

  1. Find your Spell Rank in the first column.
  2. Look for your Player Level in the second column.
    • If your level is higher than the table's max for your rank, use the highest value for that rank.
  3. Apply the formula below to calculate your damage.

SoR Proc Damage Formula

Final Damage = (Base Damage × (1 + 0.03 × Imp SoR) × Weapon Speed × Weapon Multiplier) + (0.2 × SP)

  • Imp SoR: Number of points in Improved Seal of Righteousness (0–5).
  • Weapon Multiplier: 0.85 for 1H weapons or 1.2 for 2H weapons.

Example Calculation

Weapon: Electrocutioner Leg (1.70 speed, 1H)
Level: 30 (SoR Rank 4)
JotC Rank 4: +80 Holy Spell Power

Step-by-Step:

  1. Base Damage (Rank 4 at Level 30): 6.65
  2. Scaled Base Damage:
    6.65 × 1.70 × 0.85 = 9.61
  3. Spell Power Contribution:
    80 × 0.2 = 16.0
  4. Final SoR Damage:
    9.61 + 16.0 = 25.61 Holy Damage per hit

Random Rounding in WoW:

All damage in WoW is randomly rounded to the nearest integer. For this example:

  • About 40% of procs will deal 26 damage.
  • About 60% of procs will deal 25 damage.
