Three asymmetries surfaced by 2026-05-28 estate inventory between the
hypatia rule's path_allow_prefixes (7 classes post hypatia#375) and the
standards governance-reusable check-ts-allowlist.ts builtin allowlist:
(a) `linguist/` — hyperpolymath fork of github-linguist/linguist; its
`samples/TypeScript/*.ts` are ML training fixtures for language
classification, not estate-authored TS. Same class as
rescript/servers/repos-monorepo (upstream forks).
(b) `/deps/` — Elixir Mix vendored-dep directory. Canonical example:
`tma-mark2/deps/phoenix_live_view/assets/js/phoenix_live_view/*.ts`
is Phoenix LiveView's authored TS, vendored as a hex-mix dep. We
don't own this code; the language ban shouldn't trip on it.
(c) `/vscode/` — VSCode extension entry points across 5 estate repos
(universal-language-server-plugin, reposystem, proof-burrower,
phronesis, bofj-kitt). These need AffineScript's VSCode-extension
API binding before they can migrate; that binding is on the AS
top-50 roadmap but unshipped. Carve-out unblocks the gate.
Carve-out classes now: 7 → 9. Tests grow from 8 → 11. No behaviour change
for the existing 7 classes.
Parallel to standards#NNN which mirrors these into language-policy.yml
+ .claude/CLAUDE.md + LANGUAGE-POLICY.adoc.
