Love tilling but floating windows are turning into an eye sore.

Hi,
As affinity recently made their app free I tried to install it on my arch box and it worked! But affinity has a disgusting habit of creating floating windows. And I use group bars and fullscreen windows alot and they will still have the floating window on the side. I have used glazewm over on windows and there for some reason( might be a bug ) slacking is allowed and that helps with the floating window problem cause I don't wanna see them all the time. Is there a good solution to this? I have thought about launching it separately on a Xwayland window but when I tried it didn't work well.

it's just using xwayland and in a pretty disgusting way at that, not much I can do

oh, if I allow the focused window to always render on top then, the floating side windows won't be blocking my view, but yeah, in that case I won't be seeing those other windows. But I think, if we could allow the windows with the same class to render the way they currently do then, that probably could solve this problem in general. Sorry if it sounds like a waste of time.

or should I make it a plugin request?

well in that case if it's not too much ask then can you please tell me where the stacking logic for floating windows exists in hyprland and where tiled windows are being restricted from stacking or does the renderer not allow them to stack at all? Even though I know how to code but I don't do it a lot so, if I just know the right place to look at then, I might be able to fix the problem much quicker.

tiled windows have no stacking, they aren't rendered via a stack

Yeah, I was suspecting that cause somehow on windows with glazewm it works out cause I think glazewm itself was just using winapi and this issue doesn't appear there cause the the tiled window just renders on top of a floating window which I believe is a config option and that allows me to bypass the problem with an application using multiple floating windows. Really I was just looking to stack tiled windows somehow similar to how special workspaces work in hyprland to allow me to use multiple windows in a single workspace without problems cause the issue also doesn't allow me to to use a fullscreen window as my background(without a plugin and my terminal is always fully transparent) as I like to do often which I can achieve similar results using special workspaces but in this case really I couldn't find a workaround that works without any issues.

You know what, the issue can be solved with scrolling but I just need to compile hyprland from source cause the arch package is outdated and hyprscrolling doesn't work with it and I couldn't use window groups cause they would hang in the animation( sorry the issue still existed when animations were disabled ) when opening new apps inside a window group. But I wanted to use gimp,krita and affinity photo as a single window group cause they served a similar function but alas.
