splitratio dispatcher replaced by nothing, apparently

In version 0.54.0, many split dispatchers were removed and replaced by layoutmsg command. However, splitratio dispatcher has no obvious replacement for me. The wiki only lists

• togglesplit
• swapsplit
• preselect
• movetoroot
  My workflow depends on opening multiple windows and adjusting the split ratio to get a neatly organized workspace. How do I do it now? Do I need to create a plugin for that now that this functionality has been purged from the mainline?
