cannot disable splash text after new update

the cringe, useless, good-for-nothing splash text cannot be disabled. Let's just all agree no one wants it.

Currently using hyprland v0.54.1

misc {
    force_default_wallpaper = 0 
    disable_hyprland_logo = true 
    disable_splash_rendering = true
}

splash = false

Because splash = false goes in hyprpaper.conf..

Had the same issue and this fixed it.
Also, having/removing disable_splash_rendering = true in hyprland.conf does nothing. Is it an old flag (maybe should be deprecated)?

I have this in my hyprpaper.conf but it only effects the main monitor. How do I make it disable splash on all monitors like it used to? (only noticed since the 0.55 update)

I have the same issue, hyprpaper isn't even running. I don't want it running...

@Bellisario if you have a wallpaper layer - it will cover it. And it works

@rphii if you dont have hyprpaper - you use disable this in hyprland config. if you use hyprpaper - you disable it in hyprpaper config
