Portable tutorial

You have to install JRE 1.6 for use Kurum, but you can omit installation by making portable application.

  1. Download latest version of Kurum (Portable support added in #20120219)
  2. Copy bin, lib folder from Java runtime, default path is C:/Program Files/Java/jre6/
  3. Place two folder into new jre folder and place Kurum.exe to same directory.
  4. Now there is Kurum.exe and jre folder in same directory.
  5. (Optional) Use WinRAR SFX to bundle jre folder and Kurum.exe into one executable.
  6. Kurum will use JRE in jre folder instead of asking you to install.
