我们一直说「在做了」—— 这就是它的真正含义

如果你最近在 Discussion 或 Issue 里许过愿、提过需求，收到我们一句「在做了」—— 很可能，它都指向我们刚刚落地的同一件事：Project（项目）。

你现在还看不到它。界面没有变化。但在底层，AionUi 已经有了一个真正的 Project —— 一个可以让后续一切都建立其上的一等概念。

为什么它重要

在此之前，AionUi 里的一切都挂在 对话（conversation） 上。连 Team 本质上也只是对话（1v1 与 1vn 的区别而已）。这没问题 —— 直到你想要任何「不该随一次对话结束而消失」的东西。

但人不是这么想事情的。你心里想的是项目：「我正在做的这摊事」。一个项目会横跨很多对话、很多文件夹、很多种活 —— 它理应有自己的记忆。

所以我们把 Project 抽象成了独立实体。它已经上线并生效。今天它是隐形的，但它是一整条功能线的地基 —— 这些功能在「一切都绑死在对话上」的时代根本无从谈起。

Project 解锁了什么

• Explorer（资源管理器） —— 多文件夹工作区：把多个文件夹并到同一个工作台，一次对话就能跨文件夹干活。✅ 已发布（2.1.43）。 项目内的文件搜索、把文件引用进对话 ✅ 已合并，随后续版本上线。
• 左侧面板治理 —— 会话记录分页拉取（长列表不再一次性全量加载）、入口结构调整（把 Team 收进 Project 之下）、按标题搜索会话。
• Preview（预览） —— 在 Project 这层地基上重做；建模仍在敲定。
• Source Control（版本控制） —— 相当于 Explorer 的镜面，独立建模，支持多文件夹的版本管理；建模仍在敲定。
• Kanban（任务看板） —— 一块工作区级的任务看板，由你和你的 AI 助手共同维护。Backlog · Todo · In Progress · Done，每张卡都记录谁创建、谁负责。它回答了单条对话回答不了的问题：「我在这里做的所有事，整体到底进行到哪了？」
• ……以及一些正在计划的东西。👀

目前进度

Project：已完成并上线。 Explorer：已发布（2.1.43），项目内的文件搜索与文件引用进对话已合并。左侧面板治理进行中。其余功能都从这里往后延展。

We've been saying "it's on the way" — here's what that actually means

If you've opened a Discussion or an Issue lately asking for something and got a "we're working on it" from us, there's a good chance it traces back to one thing we just landed: Projects.

You can't see it yet. The UI looks the same. But under the hood, AionUi now has a real Project — a first-class concept that everything else can build on.

Why this matters

Until now, everything in AionUi hung off a conversation. Even a Team is really just a conversation (1-on-1 vs. 1-to-many). That works — until you want anything that should outlive a single chat.

But that's not how people think. You think in projects: "the thing I'm working on." A project spans many conversations, many folders, many kinds of work — and it should have a memory of its own.

So we abstracted Project out as its own entity. It's already shipped and live. Invisible today, but it's the ground floor for a whole line of features that simply weren't possible when everything was tied to a conversation.

What Projects unlocks

• Explorer — a multi-folder workspace: bring several folders into one workspace and let a single conversation work across all of them. ✅ Shipped (2.1.43). In-project file search and referencing files into chat are ✅ merged, landing in an upcoming release.
• Left panel cleanup — paginated conversation history (no more loading the whole list at once), restructured entry points (Team now lives under Project), and searching conversations by title.
• Preview — rebuilt on top of Projects; the data model is still being finalized.
• Source Control — effectively Explorer's mirror image, with its own model, supporting version control across multiple folders; the data model is still being finalized.
• Kanban — a workspace-level task board that you and your AI assistant maintain together. Backlog · Todo · In Progress · Done. Every card tracks who created it and who owns it. It answers the question a single conversation can't: "across everything I'm doing here, where do things actually stand?"
• …and a few more things already on the drawing board. 👀

Where we are

Projects: done and shipped. Explorer: shipped (2.1.43) — in-project file search and chat file references are merged. Left panel cleanup is in progress. The rest follows from here.

@FreddyD5 Re your request in #2852 — organizing chats is exactly what Projects is for: your conversations get grouped under a Project instead of living as one flat list. Combined with the Left panel cleanup above (Team folded under Project, search-by-title), this is the line that lands it. 🙌
