useWidget - still alpha?

Are there any plans to move the useWidget hook out of alpha? Not a major issue, but we ignore lint warning to proceed.

Yes, I am thinking of reviewing all @alpha APIs (especially those that are older than i.e. 1 year) and moving to @beta. Main reason for tagging API as @alpha is to allow some breaking changes if necessary in the initial testing of the API, but that should be only for a limited time frame.

I am rethinking the suggestion above, let's tackle the APIs 1 by 1 as the use-cases come up. Not bumping the APIs (even if we can't break them) has several advantages that might reduce unnecessary consumption:

• API is not exposed in the documentation
• Linter complains about the usage of @alpha APIs

Opened #1334 to bump some of the APIs in response to this thread.
