Issue with SuperLU when rebuilding PETSC

I am having trouble setting up Moose on a personal WSL machine. When I run ./scripts/update_and_rebuild_petsc.sh it eventually fails, saying that it is:

I am relatively new to bash and do not know how or where to access configure.log, any help would be appreciated.

For a personal WSL I would recommend these instructions instead:
https://mooseframework.inl.gov/getting_started/installation/conda.html

with those you dont have to run that script

Ahh yeah, the diagnostic script needs some TLC (and its getting it! #26843).

The future script will not contain such misdirection :) Sorry for the confusion!

you are running out of memory. -j6 needs like 20GB of RAM
-j2 maybe?

It has taken a while to run through all the tests (and its still going), but the far majority of them have passed. There were quite a few however, that failed on timeout. Notably, this included a number of tests that mentioned skew correction. Also, I never saw more than two time steps printed in postprocessor values. During the tests, my system was using about 11/16 GB of RAM, so I'm not sure whether my machine's limits are to be blamed. All test failures have been
due to timeout.

Yeah your machine is dying a little if you timeout on the test suite. It s WSL's fault as well, slowing it down.
