Error in load GUI for terminal in Linux OS

Now I have installed the TI-toolbox on a computer with Linux OS (Ubuntu 22.04) in ~/TI_Toolbox. But I cannot open the GUI from the terminal by following your tutorial. It is a little bit strange to use this toolbox. See the screenshot.

Moreover, when I call the NOTEBOOK, it does not open the web browser.

Thanks for reporting this. The underlying issue is that the container can't find your project directory. Here's how to troubleshoot:

1. Check your environment variables inside the container: echo $PROJECT_DIR_NAME and ls /mnt/ PROJECT_DIR_NAME should be set to your project folder name, and that folder should appear under /mnt/.

2. Make sure you're launching with loader.py:
   cd ~/TI_Toolbox then, python3 loader.py

loader.py sets the required environment variables and volume mounts for Docker. If you started the container manually with docker compose up, the project directory won't be configured. Also, it is recomanded to give your projects unique names, rather than 'TI_Toolbox'.

4. Regarding the Notebook not opening a browser: This is expected — the browser can't open from inside the Docker container. After running NOTEBOOK in the container, open your host browser and navigate to: http://localhost:8888

Thank you very much for your reply.

The first issue has been solved — I can now open the GUI via the terminal command.

However, there is another problem. I have added my participant's T1 image in the project directory (~/hipp_modeing), ~/hipp_modeling/sub-01/anat/sub-01_T1w.nii, but the GUI panel does not show this participant's information, even after restarting the GUI several times.

Restarting the GUI should not change much.

The likely reason is that you are trying to work on multiple projects in parallel, which you cannot do.

Please make sure to exit the toolbox, and relaunch it with the correct project path that contains your subject's data.

If there is still a problem, let us know.
