O2Ring-S pairing issues

Not sure if it is just my setup or if it is a general issue, but I really struggled to pair my O2Ring-S with Somnotrace V1.3.2

I followed to prompts on the Settings tab and had to scan for device many times before it eventually correctly identified my O2Ring-S with the correct serial number. Then when I asked it to Pair the Device it gave me a series of errors about Empty Serial Number - and after many retries it eventually paired, but the pairing status message looks a little strange and instead of showing the serial number and firmware version it shows some strange characters. See attached screenshot.

I am not sure if it will record the data correctly, or if this may have any other downstream impacts. I will use the ring for the first time tonight.

Has anybody else experienced this, or does it correctly reflect your O2Ring-S and its serial number?

Please upload the log file (from Logs tab, click on "Download").

You're the first person with such an issue. Curious to see what's going on.
Also, please let me know which exact O2 Ring vendor/model you're using.

Then try "unpair/pair" again, then provide the log file.

Hi Ilya,

I upgraded to 1.4.0 as requested and unpaired and tried to re-pair my O2Ring-S, it gave me exactly the same issue as v1.3.2

It finds the ring and then repeatedly gives Error : empty serial. After about a dozen tries it eventually paired but looks exactly as per the screenshot I attached above.

My ring, which was purchased today is a Wellue O2Ring-S Model : PO2 Manufactured 2026-06

I am attaching the logs as requested, let me know if you need any further details.

That's a contradiction. PO2 identifies the older O2 Ring (not O2 Ring S) - Gen1.
I'll check the logs and will let you know.

Hmmmm.. I was wrong about PO2 designation.
When you view the Ring in ViHealth app, can you provide these details?

Needs testing (flash the new version, unpair, pair again and test please).

Hi Ilya - thank you for your efforts to resolve this issue. I used the ring last night and although the status page on ST showed "monitoring ' it did not record any data.

This morning I have flashed v1.4.1 and unpaired and tried to pair again. It continues to give Error: empty serial and occasionally I also got Error: invalid serial format. I was not able to get it to pair at all.

I have attached below the data requested as well as a new log file.
