Changes since v0.3.1

• WebUI Settings refactored:

  • LCD brightness and therapy mode now apply immediately via POST, no reboot needed.
  • NTP server moved into a collapsible "Advanced" section.
  • LCD settings relocated to a collapsible "Display" section at the bottom of the Settings page, hidden in SoftAP portal mode.
  • "Save & Reboot" now only enabled for Wi-Fi, timezone, and upload changes.

• SoftAP portal fix:

  • Portal mode now correctly switches to the Settings tab after hiding STA-only content.

• Device settings backend:

  • LCD therapy mode changes immediately re-evaluate backlight when therapy is active.

I have flashed the v0.3.2 release without erasing, all settings are perfectly remained and booted up correctly.
I have recreated EDF files and all files are uploaded again, all graphs and numbers perfectly aligned in SHQ and Oscar (test and main profiles)
I have run a test therapy some events in it and all new data transferred perfectly fine.
There are some very very minor differences in some numbers such as AHI, leak rate or usage but all are negligible.
There is a 10min time difference in data but this is due to the known reason and SomnoTrace is correct.

Only I couldn't see the log files in the SD card using FTP I will deep dive on it.

In the logs there are some WiFi related lines with unreadable time stamps.

All other changes are also fine.

Huge progress towards a fully functional release.

I also upgraded to v0.3.2 before bed last night and everything seems perfect! Thank you so much! I also wanted to share this little stand that I bought to hold the device. It is pretty cheap and lots of options out there that are similar.

On a separate note, I am about to go on vacation for about 10 days, not sure if I will have Wifi, I'm wondering how it will handle things if I can't get it on Wifi? Will it store the data and send it when I get back? Also, how is the best way to get it back into AP mode so I can connect in and try to add a WiFi access point once I know of one being available?

A corrupted file.
Might have been due to a poweroff event while processing.
You might have to click "Recreate EDF files from sessions" to fix this.
The newer version has a more reliable way to handle power failures.

Thanks, that seemed to fix it. I am able to see last nights session. Looks like it tried to upload all the previous days. It did fail for the 13th, but it hasn’t even been used for that day except for the couple times I turned it onto trigger an upload.

That looks like a bug (issue) due to a corrupted .session file (raw data).
The generated EDFs should be OK, but the ones for the 13th are still corrupted.
Could you please attach the log files (click on Download Logs)?

I also wanted to ask if it's possible to implement a scenario where neither SHQ nor SMB is used, but an external FTP (or SMB) client connects to the device and fetches the files it needs.

When are we going to be able to use esp32 WiFi Pro or WiFi cards?
Can you also suggest a trustable EZCard that works properly, I have purchased one and doesn't work, when I see comments in Amazon and AliExpress most EZCards seems fake.

Good question.
I imagine the following order of priorities.
0) current most important task - ironing out remaining differences in generated EDFs

1. uploader session tracking improvements (proper status display, manual triggers, tracking per-session (not per day), potentially moving the session tracking to SD from internal storage
2. graphs in the web UI (big)
3. adding support for O2 Ring S (big)
4. adding support for FYSETC SD WiFi Pro and updates to SD WiFi Pro to enable it
5. only then - either FYSETC SW Wifi OR EZShare (with EZShare being lowest priority).

So, realistically, I'd say 2-3 months (also, need to consider that I don't have an EZShare card on-hand).
It's a pretty big project. If you consider CPAP-AutoSync, it was in active development from February and only reached "maturity" around May. I'd say the above is more or less realistic (but really depends on my availability, as I only work on the project during free time, primarily late at nights). Basically, I can't promise any timelines (sorry), just want to give you a possible timeframe and an understanding of the scope of work.

I don't know where to get a "proper" EZShare card (I don't own one).
As I mentioned, EZShare cards are lowest priority to add, I would NOT recommend rushing to get one.

My question was due to a misunderstanding that I thought you have already implemented support for EZShare, I agree that it is low priority at this stage of the project.
I know that it is really a big project that requires tremendous effort from your side, I wish I could support you on other activities as well other than the testing activities.
You and other contributors are doing a very valuable job here to support cpap users community and personally this is a privilege for me to have the opportunity to support this projects.
I will be providing my inputs for testing and any new ideas for further functionalities.

There was a bit of confusion.
EZshare protocol is supported on the ESP itself.
So you can download files from the ESP using HTTP requests in the same format as EZShare to your laptop or mobile phone.
But NOT from EZShare cards to the ESP.
Only FROM the ESP elsewhere (in addition to FTP).

After a day's upload in SleepHQ (and maybe OSCAR) with SomnoTrace ,when you view the 2 previous day's, do you get 2x usage time displayed?

Fir example, if you used the machine for 8 hours, do you see 16?

I have not seen this either, only importing into OSCAR for now. My AS11 runs an hour ahead of NTP due to DST. Let me know if I can provide any more information.

Curious if anyone has looked into whether the same BLE approach used for the
AS11 could work on the ResMed AirMini. The AirMini has no SD card slot at
all, and as far as I know there's currently no way to get therapy data off
it whatsoever, MyAir/AirMini app shows summary stats but doesn't expose
exportable session data like OSCAR/SleepHQ do for the AS11.

If SomnoTrace's BLE protocol work could extend to the AirMini, that would be
huge for travel users. Not
sure if the AirMini exposes a similar BLE setup
as the AS11, or if it's a completely different implementation on ResMed's
end.

Has anyone attempted this, or is it worth exploring? Happy to help test if
there's interest. I have an AirMini I use for travel.

There's a lot of both thought and guesswork going into it on Discord.
The trouble being an iOS app being able to pull some information off the Mini, with nobody knowing how it does that.

Just a short update.
I've fixed the vast majority of remaining differences in EDF generation code.
It is producing ALMOST identical files with ALMOST identical statistics now (just one very minor difference left).
I'll look into the remaining one today/tomorrow (large leak 5s, AVG leak rate 2.08 on ESP, 8s/2.09 on AS11 - all other numbers identical, must be the cutoff somewhere) and will release the new version for testing.

I'll then start working on session state management/upload tracking.

I've also updated LCD screen brightness to be 0.5-20% from 1-100%, making it dimmer. Will consider going even lower to 0.2%.
