Imixs-Forms with images

installed Imixs-Forms according to the quick start guide (which runs a microservice and app), changed the example form in vscode to add a simple html image to the form, saw it reflects in the bpmn model, and added the image under app/images and saw it all reflects in the docker image it self, check image volume mapping is good, restarted compose (even deleted the cache in between), tried several image paths. text changes to the form in vscode appear on the website but the image, nada, yok, niente, mafish, nothing!
Any ideas?

can you show me your forms XML example from you BPMN model?
Or do you mean you have tried to change the design of the form layout in general - so you changed the index.xhtml page?
