📦 Installation

  1. Download ShelfSpace-1.2.0.dmg below
  2. Open the DMG file
  3. Drag ShelfSpace.app to your Applications folder
  4. Important: Follow the security steps below before launching

🔐 Security & First Launch

⚠️ If you see "Apple could not verify ShelfSpace is free of malware":

This is normal for open-source apps. ShelfSpace is safe but not notarized with Apple.

To open the app:

  1. Right-click ShelfSpace.app in Applications folder
  2. Select "Open" from the context menu
  3. Click "Open" again in the security dialog
  4. The app will now run and be trusted permanently

Alternative method:

  1. Go to System SettingsPrivacy & Security
  2. Scroll down to find "ShelfSpace was blocked..."
  3. Click "Open Anyway"

You only need to do this once - the app will launch normally afterward.

  • macOS 13.0 (Ventura) or later
  • Intel or Apple Silicon Mac
