[Feature] Image grid in mobile folder view #17333

Hi, may I ask any updates of this feature? |
|
If it could be possible to have an option to set that grid folder view by default when opening the app and the name of folders over the folder pictures that would be perfect 🙄 |

Folder view is a great feature, but the fact that the Android app doesn't allow changing view types when browsing folders makes the user experience really poor... I'm sure implementing a grid view here would be pretty straightforward - devs, please consider adding it! Many thanks. |

My bad. I guess I didn’t do a good enough search on this topic and duplicated it. Not once but twice. Making the folder display with this option would be awesome. I migrated from another photo app and all my photos are in many many folders and they would look so much better without the filenames being displayed. I hope this option becomes a feature. I use an iPad iPhone a Mac laptop. |

Dear team, some of us have a large curated external library and Folder View is only really useful on mobile if opening a folder gives a proper thumbnail grid rather than a list. Please give this a look. Hopefully it is straightforward to implement since grid view is offered outside of folders. Thank you! |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
I have searched the existing issues, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate report.
The bug
There is only one view available when using the android app to see the folder view.
On the web it shows the images as a grid.
Android app should at least give the option to browse the folders with the same UI as the albums, where images are on a grid.
