[Feature] Move or change download banner while browsing photos on mobile app

The feature

I've tried searching for an issue/feature request for it, but I couldn't find exactly what my wife wants. Here's her feedback/issue with using the download function while looking at photos:

Whenever she is looking at photos, 1 by 1 on the gallery, she wants to download pictures to use in other apps. The problem is: whenever she presses the download button and goes to the next photo, the notification banner with the download progress bar is "too big to look at the other photos". This gets worse when downloading a second photo/video because then you would have stacked download notification banners. Here's an example:

Maybe having a way to hide the notifications and progress bars somewhere would be nice. She said it could be good to make those smaller as well as moving to the top, but that's her preference.
I would say that maybe merging the notification banners into 1 with a counter of how many downloads are left could simplify this. But adding the minimization process feels like a huge gain on the mobile experience.
