[Feature] Notifications for Likes and Comments on Shared Content

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

I’d like to propose a feature where users receive notifications (both in the Immich notification tab and via email) when someone likes or comments on a shared album or photo.

Requirements

1. Likes

   • The notification should display who liked the resource.
   • If it’s a photo: optionally show a small image preview, provided it doesn’t clutter the UI.
   • If it’s an album: display the album name.
   • Clicking the notification should redirect directly to the resource (photo or album).

2. Comments

   • The notification should display who commented.

   • Show the resource where the comment was made:

     • Photo → small image preview.
     • Album → album name.

   • Include the content of the comment.

     • If the comment is too long, truncate it and show a “See more” button, which redirects to the full resource.

3. UI/UX Considerations

   • No extra buttons should be included (except the “Read more” case for long comments).
   • To keep the UI clean, the entire notification area should be clickable and redirect to the resource.
   • Email notifications should follow a similar structure but optimized for readability.

4. Optimization

• The notification content should load any content, only when notification panel is open
