It would be nice if immich was compatible with FCast, which seems to be another FUTO project and currently is only supported by grayjay apparently.

There's a few other projects using it now. But yes, primarily GrayJay. I'd also really like it in Immich.

@bwees is the expert on this.

From Brandon I learned that it's probably not possible to get it in the WebUI, but it could be in the app.

We have a flutter library for handling both google cast and FCast that we plan to switch to. Its on our todo list!

@wireva if you wanted to take a shot at it you could look at the flutter library: https://pub.dev/packages/fcast_sender_sdk

I'm not sure if anyone else is working on it though. You should probably ask someone (maybe in #contributing in the Discord server).

Edit: To be clear, it's planned, just not done yet.
