[Feature] Read-Only Awareness for External Libraries

The feature

When making any edits to pictures in external libraries (editing the date/time, deleting) this requires write-rights in the file system. In many cases external libraries are mounted as read only. In those cases Immich accepts the edit and reports a success (e.g., when editing the date/time, see issue #24028), but in fact no action is taken.

Expected/Suggested behaviour:

• Immich being aware of Libraries mounted as Read Only
• Immich not offering edit option that require write access (either not showing them in the UI or greying them out)

There used to be awareness of the library read-only status and it really made a mess of the code, so we deliberately removed that.

It does not look like a duplicate: #12001 suggested to still being able to edit photos in a RO external library but storing the edit information somewhere else. I agree that inconsistent storing of edit-information dependent on the mount-mode would indeed be messy.

My suggestion here, by contrast, is about simply disabling any edit capabilities for RO-mounted photos. Especially with further upcoming edit capabilities, it would be a bit of a UX nightmare of users thinking they have successfully made edits, but nothing is actually saved.

I don't quite see how a metadata query on whether or not to show edit buttons in the UI would make a general mess of the code?

My current workaround solution is Custom CSS, but this cannot change the UI of the android/ios client. Looking forward to native support.
