[Feature] Counter Variable for Storage Templates

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

I wish to have a counter variable in the storage templates so it will be possible to not work with the date for example. It will be possible to have a folder structure which ist ordered by album start date, but folders names are counted like

• 2025-01_album name
• 2025_02_album name

and also it would be possible to use the album name as file name with a counter at the end like

• album name 2025_001.jpg
• album name 2025_002.jpg

This would help to have more possbillities for structuring the file and folder system.

The latter already happens automatically if file names conflict. I don't really understand the former; if assets are in the same album surely they should go into the same folder?

yes, but i can't define where the automatic counter is placed. For my second example with the file names you are right, this already works. But I'm not able to define a counter on a specific position in the path. In my first example with the folder names, the 01 and 02 should not be months. Maybe this was not clear. Another example here:

Folder Names

• 2025-01_album name --> (Album from february)
• 2025-02_album name --> (2nd Album from february)
• 2025-03_album name --> (Album from april)
• 2025-04_album name --> (Album from july)

At the moment I think this is not possible.
