[Feature] Allow to change Location of Pictures

The feature

I try to centralize all my photo location into one. So I connected them all as external storage - now I have around five of them. Directly in Immich i have around 100 photos. Every external storage has around 2000 pictures each.
Now there is a Need for a way to assign Photos to centralized library location. Surprisingly this seems not possible.

In the future, I plan to have one or two second storages which will be read-only accessible over smb or webdav. The following design would also fit into this usecase.

Allow to assign Pictures to specific location.

• Allow to Assign a storage similar to Albums
  in oposide to an Album you could only assign one storage location per image.
• while setting up a storage location you could preset a priority for the moving.
  It should be preset on extrem-low priority and move on night tasks.
• Image get a storage information, this storage information shows a ! if the moving is still pendent.
• if you set up an external storage as a move-to location, you also could create a storage template.
  Such an external storage get a text file called Do-not-manually-edit-this-directories.txt

Immich is not a file manager like that. If you want to use storage template, you should upload files to the internal library; external libraries are explicitly for you to manage the structure yourself.

@bo0tzz In my understanding this is not a "File Manager". In a file manager I could manage Files. I speak here about a Storage manager. the only thing an user could manage is the storage location. Neither the name or the directory.

And My usecase would be importing files to immich. Cause the only way at moment to import files to immich is upload them photo by photo over the web interface or copy them onto a smarphone and import it with the app.

I do not see any use case for an external library. Why should I have a library to manage for my self. If I have immich for that.

If I need something like that than more like a readonly access to an Album e.g. over webdav.
