I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

Rather than defaulting the Immich home page to Photos, it would be great if there was a dashboard feature that was customisable at the user level.

I saw that a smart album feature is on the Roadmap, and this would integrate perfectly with a dashboard. Smart albums could be used to create curated lists of photos displayed in a simple slider, with a max photo setting for the slider and ability to click through to the album. This could be used to create quick access collections for:

• Recently added images
• Images added by specific users
• Images that meet specific filter criteria (tags, lacation etc.).

Other possible features of a dashboard could be to pin from the Explore page (specific people and locations) and favourite albums for quick access.

Note: Apologies if I have missed an existing/planned feature. I have only used the demo thus far. Immich looks like a brilliant tool, but it will not make sense for me until it deploys the library first model discussed in #12614 and #24580.

I would like something like this or, at least, the ability to change the default landing page.

My use case, which is more of a workaround for another problem: One of my immich accounts suffers a significant lag when navigating to the photos page which, for that account, isn't even used. Not sure whether the culprit is the large number of pictures stored for the account, the thumbnails somehow being larger file sizes, or something else.
