I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

The trash should be locked to keep potentially sensitive photos from being more accessible than the user might think they are. A less tech-savvy family member may believe that a "deleted" photo is either gone forever or only recoverable by them. Other popular system photo galleries do this so it may be expected behavior for some.
