I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
The feature
Currently, Partner Sharing only exposes the shared user's flat photo/video timeline. The "People" (face recognition) library section and the folder-origin view remain strictly scoped to the owning account and are never visible to a partner, even when full timeline sharing is
already enabled.
Feature request: Add an additional, separate opt-in toggle in Partner Sharing settings (next to the existing "Show in timeline" option) that lets the sharing user optionally expose their People groupings to the partner, in read-only mode. The partner would be able to
browse/search by recognized person, but not rename, merge, hide, or edit any person — only the original owner keeps edit rights.
Use case: Families sharing one household photo library. One admin account manages uploads, tagging, and organization; other family members (spouse, kids) just want to browse "all photos of X person" without needing their own separate library (which would require re-running face
recognition on the same files, doubling processing time and storage) and without being given edit/delete rights on the original library.
This would make Partner Sharing genuinely usable as a "family view" feature, not just a flat photo feed.
