[Feature] Non-location-based option for Automatic URL switching

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

Automatic URL switching (Settings → Networking) currently requires granting Location permission so the app can detect the current Wi-Fi network and pick between a local and external server URL. Some of us would like the convenience of automatic switching without granting background location access just for this purpose.

An alternative trigger that doesn't rely on Location:

• Reachability-based switching — try the local URL with a short timeout, fall back to the external URL if unreachable, rather than detecting SSID.

• Optionally, a simple manual toggle (in-app switch or widget) to flip between Local/External on demand, with no background detection at all.

Using a single URL for both local and remote access via a VPN mesh (ZeroTier/Tailscale) works, but sacrifices local-network speed since all traffic even at home routes through the mesh overlay rather than the direct LAN.

This would help privacy-conscious self-hosters get the convenience of automatic switching without an unrelated permission trade-off.
