I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
The feature
High-level: Ability to move/copy photos from one local directory to another local directory for
On this devicephotos/videos in the phone itself.Typically I've my camera set up for automatic backup via immich, but I also receive a lot of images from other people (Messages, Whatsapp, Quick Share, Downloads, email attachments etc.). Not all received images are worth keeping as there's a lot of clutters with GIFs, stickers, random downloads etc.
To deal with this, I've also created a local directory called "ReceivedMedia" which is configured to automatically backup to immich. And I actively go and move all the images that I want to backup, from all different directories for various sources to this "ReceivedMedia" directory.
Right now Immich only provides
Share,Trash,Uploadin theLibrary>On this devicecategory. So I've to fall back to Google Photos which providesMove to folderandCopy to folderoptions as well.It'll be good to add
