The feature
Hello,
Currently in the app, it's possible to select a different address when the app detects that the phone is connected to a local network.
Most of the transcoded video files are optimised for playback in degraded conditions, like 4G networking. It works like a charm and it is very nice. However, when connected locally to the server's network with 100MB-1GB/s WLAN access, it is nice to be able to playback the original media, for example iPhone videos in Dolby HDR.
Currently to do this, a manual action is required to force the original videos for the playback. It works but it's not frictionless.
As the app already supports the adaptive endpoint and the original file playback, would it be an option to propose a toggle to force original file playback (let's say separately for videos and photos) when connected for a specific network ?
Happy to hear about your feedback!
