I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
The feature
[Feature] Deep links to specific photos in Partner Sharing with timeline navigation
Description
Allow users to share a direct URL to a specific photo within a partner-shared library while preserving the ability to navigate to previous and next photos in the partner's timeline.
Current behavior
Immich Partner Sharing uses URLs in the following format:
https://your-server/partners/USER_ID/photos/PHOTO_IDHowever, opening this URL directly from another user's session does not reliably open the intended photo with the expected timeline navigation.
Creating a public shared link for a single photo is not a suitable workaround because the recipient cannot navigate to adjacent photos in the original partner-shared library.
Expected behavior
Use case
I frequently want to send my partner a link to a particular photo in our shared library.
For example:
https://your-server/partners/USER_ID/photos/PHOTO_IDWhen my partner opens this URL, they should see the selected photo and be able to continue browsing adjacent photos using the normal navigation controls.
This would make sharing specific moments much easier without interrupting the browsing experience or requiring duplicate albums.
Related documentation
Immich supports asset and album deep links, as described in the [v1.136.0 release notes](#20133).
It would be useful to extend this functionality to partner-shared timelines.

AND
Yes. I found several related discussions and issues in the official Immich GitHub repository. One issue is particularly close to your request.

[#20289 — Opening deep link for an asset does not allow forwards/backwards navigation](#20289)
Issue · Open · July 2025
This describes exactly the navigation problem: opening a photo from a deep link prevents moving to adjacent photos.
An Immich developer commented that deep links need to load the timeline at the correct position instead of loading only one asset.

Should you create a new feature request?
Yes, but reference #20289. That issue primarily concerns mobile deep-link navigation, whereas your requirement is specifically about the web interface and Partner Sharing.
I would add this to your feature request:
Related issues
This request is specifically about the Immich web interface and Partner Sharing.
The goal is to open
/partners/USER_ID/photos/PHOTO_IDfrom a shared URL while preserving the partner's timeline context and allowing navigation between adjacent photos.Unlike the existing mobile deep-link issues, this concerns navigation between users who already have Partner Sharing permissions.
I didn't find an exact duplicate specifically covering partner-shared web photo links with previous/next navigation, so a separate feature request appears justified.
