The feature

I just started with Immich and imported 70k photos into the app..

Face detection ran and found 1000000's of faces. Every random person at the beach, every meme, every house with windows.. faces everywhere

I re ran the recog with min found with a higher value and this cut things down.. but it still linked other faces to different faces, so when hiding the face im guessing that all the ones that sold match another person can't be linked now??

I thought a better way would be tagging the photo of where face objects are in the pic and do nothing..

Users could then when viewing photos start tagging names of ppl in photos by the bounding face box or link to an existing name

There would then be no million face photo page..

As faces get tagged or linked the recog could then run looking at faces building the ML algo

Faces not linked or named would just be ignored but their box area would be kept

And faces not found user could drop a box area for naming, resizable, moveable
