LENS recognizes literals of the following types:

Kind Underlying .NET type Example
Integer System.Int32 1, 42
Long System.Int64 1234567890L
Float System.Single 13.37f
Double System.Double 3.59
Decimal System.Decimal 66.6M
Character System.Char 'c', '\t'
String System.String "hello", @"world"

Notes:

  • Postfixes for Ling, Float and Decimal types are case-insensitive, e.g. 1f == 1F
  • Classic strings support escape characters, much like in C#. Verbatim strings (starting with the @ symbol) represent the backslash as is - to add a quote character, double it: @"this ""word"" is quoted"
