Start here: what would make Waindow useful on your Mac?

Waindow is a free, account-free native Mac utility for arranging and restoring window layouts, keeping local window-linked Markdown memos, capturing long pages, resizing linked windows, keeping the Mac awake, and presenting or recording product work. It has no ads, subscription, product key, app telemetry, bundled AI model, or usage limit.

Current release: Waindow 1.7.7 (124) for macOS 13.1+, Apple Silicon and Intel. The local workflow includes window layouts and restore, memos, long-page capture, Linked Resize, Blackout Mode, Keep Awake, Presentation and Studio recording, plus optional local typed control through Shortcuts, CLI, or MCP. The control path is local and does not mean an AI model is bundled in the app.

The direct ZIP is locally signed but not Developer ID notarized, so macOS may require System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway for a downloaded build. The public release repository contains the compiled Release ZIP only; the product source remains private.

1. Which task did you expect Waindow to solve?
2. Where did installation, permission setup, or first use feel confusing?
3. Which tool earns a permanent menu-bar slot—and which one makes the app feel too broad?
4. Did any guide step or wording feel unclear in your language?
5. If you used Presentation or Studio, what failed or felt slower than it should?
