The way we were injecting the selection state meant that the bookmark menu items never updated and were always disabled.

The way we were injecting the selection state meant that the bookmark menu items never updated and were always disabled. This change removes some misguided attempts at managing enable/disable for menu items and moves the ownership of the selection model.
