I am new to VirtualBuddy, please forgive me if I am missing something obvious. My internet sluthing did not turn up anything helpful. VirtualBuddy 2.1 (325) I created the guest yesterday. The install process froze at the end, requiring me to close the window. Sadly I did not save the install log. Since then, rebooting via the GUI and terminal In case it helps, below are lightly redacted copies of the plist files. If there is anything I can check to diagnose the cause, I'd love to hear it. Thank you Install.plist Metadata.plist Config.plist |

This is likely not an issue with VirtualBuddy itself, but a bug in macOS. I suggest filing a feedback report with Apple. |

I have figured it out. Experimenting with a fresh install of Sequoia 15.6.1, reboots and shutdowns worked perfectly until I installed VirtualBuddy Guest App. After that, reboots and shutdowns hard locked the OS. Enabling/disabling Guest App in the VM config did not change behavior, however preventing Guest App from running at boot in the guest allowed normal reboots and shutdowns. I don't know how to know if this is a Virtualization.framework bug or VirtualBuddy Guest App bug, but at least I have a path forward. |
