Voicing my support for this feature! Thank you for writing up this post. I don't like retroachievements, and every time I accidentally bump into them I get a little annoyed. I'd love a master toggle to be able to hide them entirely. |

What problem would this solve?
Not everyone who emulates or uses Cocoon uses RetroAchievements or is interested in achievements as a whole. While great steps have been made to make enjoying these elements more viable on portable systems that may be away from the internet for long periods of time (such as with RAOfflineProxy), RetroAchievements in particular is still fundamentally designed in a way that prioritizes an internet connection, and as a result inconsistent unlocking and management can be cumbersome or frustrating to those on the go. There are also many who simply do not see achievements as an integral part of their game experience, as well as those who have given achievement systems a shot and decided that they don't care for them.
In spite of this, achievement integration is made into a notable part of the frontend, with the Log application noting your achievements and even listing "0/1" for games that don't have them set up. In addition, there appears to be no way to fully disable achievement integration after it is set up without a full reset, at the expense of those who may have simply wanted to try the feature out. You have the option to enter new credentials for RetroAchievements specifically, but seemingly not to remove them, and games that have already been scraped with RetroAchievements in mind can't easily have this undone; this means the badge that lists the number of achievements as well as the pop-up menu to pull up a list will remain on the screen, even if they aren't personally applicable to the user.
What would you like Cocoon to do?
It would be greatly beneficial if Cocoon gave users the option to easily disable overall achievement integration with a simple button press or menu option. This would hide the ?/? badge in the Log app and the Achievements option in the games' drop down menu, as well as the smaller ?/? badge when hovering over a game on your home screen, even if the game had already been scraped with RetroAchievements integration in mind. This would allow those who decide that they don't care for achievements or RetroAchievements integration to be able to hide the elements that pertain to it instead of having them bog down the UI.
