Installation

This guide explains how to install Smart Simulation correctly.

Requirements

Before installing Smart Simulation, make sure you have:

• The latest version of The Sims 4
• The required Core Library (if applicable)
• Mods enabled in the game settings

Download

Download Smart Simulation from one of the official sources:

• GitHub Releases https://github.com/invinciblebug/SmartSimulation/releases

• CurseForge https://www.curseforge.com/sims4/mods/smart-simulation

Important

Always download Smart Simulation from the official GitHub repository or CurseForge page to ensure you receive authentic and up-to-date releases.

Installation Steps

1. Download the latest release.
2. Extract the downloaded archive.
3. Copy the Smart Simulation files into your Mods folder.

Default Mods folder:

Windows

Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods

macOS

~/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods

4. Start The Sims 4.
5. Make sure Custom Content and Mods and Script Mods Allowed are enabled.
6. Restart the game if prompted.

Updating

To update Smart Simulation:

1. Remove the old version.
2. Install the latest release.
3. Delete any obsolete files if instructed in the release notes.

Your save files are not modified by Smart Simulation.

Verifying Installation

After launching the game, Smart Simulation will automatically initialize.

The following folder will be created if it does not already exist:

Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\[INVINCIBLEBUG]

Depending on your operating system, you may see files such as:

LICENSE
README.md
smart_simulation.dat
latest_version.ini
update_check.bat (Windows)
update_check.sh (macOS/Linux)
ss-<date>.log
act-<date>.log
config-<date>.log

These files are used for configuration, update checking, documentation, and local diagnostics.

Uninstallation

1. Close The Sims 4.
2. Delete the Smart Simulation files from your Mods folder.
3. Optionally remove the [INVINCIBLEBUG] folder from:

Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\

This removes configuration files, update information, and diagnostic logs created by Smart Simulation.
