Connect to a Docker Engine on a Windows remote over SSH — the engine API is tunneled through an SSH docker system dial-stdio bridge into a local socket/named pipe (no TCP relay, even locally), making Docker Desktop's named-pipe engine reachable from macOS/Linux.
Connect to a Podman machine on a Windows remote over SSH — reached by nesting OpenSSH into the machine's VM and running its local podman system dial-stdio, bridging the in-VM engine socket with no docker dependency and no insecure TCP. Docker and Podman now share one unified SSH stdio-bridge (the dialect resolves the bridge command; the transport just runs it).

Disconnecting an engine now clears its containers/images/volumes from the merged lists immediately, instead of leaving the disconnected engine's resources lingering.
Returning to a resource list that shrank while you were away (e.g. after disconnecting an engine) no longer renders a large empty gap with the rows scrolled out of view — a stale saved scroll offset the shorter list can no longer reach is discarded, so it renders correctly on the first visit.
The list Reload action refreshes every connected engine and no longer stops if one connection drops mid-refresh.
The footer engine menu shows the version for remote engines (e.g. Docker over SSH), matching the details popover.
Engine-specific navigation such as Swarm is enabled from any running connection's capabilities, not only the primary connection.
