Assignment #6: Final Navigation Layout Sketches

Emily Stewart edited this page Oct 14, 2015 · 8 revisions

For this assignment, you'll need to flesh out the flow and information architecture for the project that you're working on. You should create for this assignment:

Step 1: Naivgation Layout Sketches (Finalized)

You've had feedback on your creative briefs, and now you can take that and choose how your site will work (the navigation and the links between pages -- make this a final version).

  • Then, scan/take a photo of them.
  • Combine these photos into a single PDF.
  • Annotate PDF

Use the program of your choice (e.g., Acrobat, Evernote or Preview) to annotate the PDF with Sticky Notes. The annotations should highlight your team’s thought process.

Step 2: Create a finalized map of your site map

This will be more refined than your sketches. Create a map using whatever works (Illustrator, Lucidchart, Balsamiq, Preview, Evernote, etc…).

Export/save the final form in a PDF.

These will not be layout wireframes, but will include your entire site map and the flow of how people get from one place to another.

Step 3: Combine these into a SINGLE PDF

Combine all of these into a single PDF (make sure you don’t lose your annotations).

Properly name your file: A6-Project-Team-With-Hyphens.pdf

Points will be deducted for sloppy naming.

Step 4: Upload the PDF to Slack and mention us

Upload your final PDF to Slack. @emily and @rob to make sure we give you the 👍
