Syllabus

Welcome to J4502 (Monday/Wednesday)!

I'm glad to have each of you in the class. This course will be very fast-paced and lectures will build on the previous ones. Because of this, it's crucial you ask for help if you get confused.

My primary goal is to expose you to industry-standard expectations and give you a foundational design process to iterate upon. While this course does have technical instruction, you will not be expected to master web design in one semester. Instead, you will be expected to answer:

  • why you're building something
  • what problems it solves
  • how to craft an effective solution

Feedback

Class participation is required in this course. You are expected to give constructive design feedback to your peers.
