Constantly running seeker in the background is obviously not ideal and the app itself recommends to manually enable the background service when necessary, but what if a toggle to automatically enable sharing while the device is charging was present?
An option to pause sharing on metered networks already exists, combined with this feature, seeker would seamlessly start sharing while the device is charging (so battery life isn't a concern) and is connected to a non-metered network, ideally, it would also check if the device is actually idle to not impact performance during use (I believe this is doable with the android APIs).
This would help contribute to the network with pretty much no downsides.
