v0.1.29
- Saved clusters stuck on the old port (127.0.0.1:28088) now move to the app's bridge when the app opens.
- Fixes "bridge unreachable at http://127.0.0.1:28088" after changing the bridge port in v0.1.26-v0.1.28.
- A bridge you run yourself on the default port is left alone.
Update
- macOS app:
brew upgrade jairofernandez/kubiverse/kubiverse jairofernandez/kubiverse/kubiverse-bridge - Bridge only:
brew upgrade jairofernandez/kubiverse/kubiverse-bridge, or the get-bridge script from the README.
Full Changelog: v0.1.28...v0.1.29
v0.1.28
- Changing the bridge port (RESTART BRIDGE) now moves your saved clusters and the connection along with it.
- Before, they kept pointing at the old port: "bridge unreachable at http://127.0.0.1:28088".
- Bridges you run yourself on other ports (like a hand-started one on 8088) are left alone.
Full Changelog: v0.1.27...v0.1.28
v0.1.27
- Fix: a free bridge port was reported as "used by another program" (v0.1.26), so the bridge didn't start.
- Changing the port and pressing RESTART BRIDGE starts the bridge again.
Update
- macOS app:
brew upgrade --cask jairofernandez/kubiverse/kubiverse - Bridge:
brew upgrade jairofernandez/kubiverse/kubiverse-bridge, or the get-bridge script from the README.
Full Changelog: v0.1.26...v0.1.27
v0.1.26
- Web radio: stations now play through the bridge on your computer (SomaFM refused browsers with a 403).
- A station that won't play in the browser says so on the radio's display instead of staying silent.
- The app no longer starts a second bridge when its launch check is slow: it asks again and uses yours.
- A port taken by another program is reported as such, so you know to pick another one.
Update
- macOS app:
brew upgrade --cask jairofernandez/kubiverse/kubiverse - Bridge:
brew upgrade jairofernandez/kubiverse/kubiverse-bridge, or the get-bridge script from the README.
Full Changelog: v0.1.25...v0.1.26
v0.1.25
- New retro radio (U): built-in chiptune stations, SomaFM, Lofi Girl, and any stream or YouTube link.
- YouTube plays on a draggable 80s TV inside the game; QUALITY picks 240p, 360p or 480p.
- FAVORITES and MY LIST (plays in order); paste a YouTube playlist to bring up to 200 videos.
- Your links are backed up in radio-stations.json; COPY LINKS puts them on the clipboard.
- Online stations need the bridge from this release plus ffmpeg (and yt-dlp for YouTube).
- Light on the machine: a radio ~7 MB, video 55-110 MB; the volume sliders and mute apply.
- The app no longer reports its bridge as failed when the launch check times out while loading.
Update
- macOS app:
brew upgrade --cask jairofernandez/kubiverse/kubiverse - Bridge:
brew upgrade jairofernandez/kubiverse/kubiverse-bridge, or the get-bridge script from the README. - For online stations:
brew install ffmpeg yt-dlp(Linux:sudo apt install ffmpeg yt-dlp, Windows:scoop install ffmpeg yt-dlp).

v0.1.24
- Kubi only suggests commands the in-game terminal can run: one kubectl command per step, no shell syntax.
- Commands the terminal can't run (exec, edit, pipes, watch...) get COPY only, no RUN button.
- The app starts the newest kubiverse-bridge it finds, so an old copy no longer wins over a Homebrew upgrade.
- RESTART BRIDGE is now in the update dialog and in the VIEW menu.
- The VIEW menu fits the screen: fixed width, scrolls, and is split into sections.
- A certificate that expires right now shows as expired, instead of staying at "expires now".
Update
- macOS app:
brew upgrade --cask jairofernandez/kubiverse/kubiverse - Bridge:
brew upgrade jairofernandez/kubiverse/kubiverse-bridge, or the get-bridge script from the README.
