Highlights

  • Add RFC 6455 WebSocket client support over HTTP/1.1 Upgrade with masked client frames, close handling, timeouts, strict handshake validation, and cookie integration.
  • Add RFC 8441 WebSocket-over-HTTP/2 Extended CONNECT tunnel support for peers that advertise SETTINGS_ENABLE_CONNECT_PROTOCOL.
  • Force HTTP/1.1-only ALPN for wss:// RFC 6455 handshakes, while keeping h2 ALPN for the RFC 8441 path.
  • Add black-box WSS tests for ALPN and cookie round trips, plus RFC frame/error coverage.
