Easily testing code with ensureIsAuthenticated middleware

Hi, it took me half a day to come up with a way to go about this.

I have a solution in coffee script: http://hackerpreneurialism.com/post/48344246498/node-js-testing-mocking-authenticated-passport-js

If you'd like me to write it in javascript and submit the "mock-passport-middleware" class as a pull request let me know.

Thanks it found the problem why it wasn't working.

Hi, seems your mock middleware is applied after the auth middleware. Should
be:

app.use(passport.initialize());
app.use(function(req, res){
// mock authenticated user
});
app.use(function(req, res){
// apply auth check etc
});

That was my problem to, however I couldn't apply it the mocking first, so I had to hack a little and use:

app.stack.unshift({ // First middleware
    route: '',
    handle: function (req, res, next) {
        req.user = {};

        req.isAuthenticated = function () {
            return true;
        };

        next();
    }
});
