Very slow file opening on start up

When i try and open a file with JD-GUI, the program starts but it never actually opens the file. I'm running windows 7. This is what happens:

I fail to reproduce your issue. My environment:

• Windows 7 64bit
• JD-GUI 1.4.0
• "log4j.jar" renamed to "Some Jar File.jar" and copy on my desktop

My test:

• click on "Open With > JD-GUI"
• JD-GUI starts in 5 ~ 7 seconds (it's slow)
• 4 ~ 5 seconds later, the contain of "Some Jar File.jar" is displayed (it's slow again).

Questions:

• This happens with all of your JAR files?
• When you drag'n'drop "Some Jer File.jar", is it display correctly ?

It's a lot slower with larger jars and i also don't have the best of computers so it takes >10 seconds for me to open a lot of things which is why i didn't notice. So it does work but its very slow, dragging and dropping the jar will open it instantly though, like you would expect.

To boost the startup, we have several options:

• Check the "Single instance" preference
• Adds the options "-XX:+TieredCompilation -XX:TieredStopAtLevel=1" on command line (https://github.com/boot-clj/boot/wiki/JVM-Options)
• Remove Groovy from project (!)

None of these solutions satisfy me, currently.

Alright, thanks for the temp solutions
