Scanlines

Scanlines is a visual collection app for video game collectors.

It helps collectors track physical and digital game collections, organize games by platform, record physical copy details, and browse collections visually.

The Android app is available on Google Play:

Scanlines is in active development.

Product focus

  • Track video game collections
  • Organize games by platform
  • Support physical copy details
  • Record edition, condition, region, and notes
  • Browse collections through a visual interface

Project goals

Scanlines is built around collectors and their actual game copies, not only generic game entries.

The current goals are:

  • Make collection tracking faster and less spreadsheet-like
  • Treat photos and visual browsing as core parts of the collection experience
  • Support physical collecting details without turning the app into a dashboard
  • Build a curated catalog with community feedback and corrections
  • Grow carefully through collector feedback before focusing on scale

Funding and monetization

Scanlines is not monetized in its current version.

The current priority is product quality, catalog coverage, and user feedback. A future business model may be considered later, but there are no current paid tiers or paywalls.

If optional paid features are introduced in the future, the intent is to add new capabilities rather than charge retroactively for features already available today.
