VibeAround v0.7.1-beta

This beta release is published from main. It focuses on the new Startkit flow and the desktop-agent launch experience.

Breaking Change

VibeAround 0.7.1-beta changes how local Startkit state, detected agent sources, desktop launch targets, and profile launch settings are stored and refreshed. Existing 0.6.x settings may not migrate cleanly on every machine.

If you are upgrading from 0.6.x, follow the migration guide before launching the new version:

Highlights

• Changed the fresh Startkit install-location default to System, with shell PATH off by default, so VibeAround does not install managed agent toolchains unless the user chooses that path.
• Reworked Startkit checks with per-item progress, scoped cache keys, and quieter repeated checks.
• Added system-vs-managed agent source detection so VibeAround can distinguish user-installed tools from VibeAround-managed defaults.
• Improved managed npm paths, install-location display, package-manager inventory detection, registry handling, and Windows PATH/casing behavior.
• Added direct desktop launch targets and detection for desktop apps.
• Added Claude Desktop and Codex Desktop profile launch support, including managed bridge/profile overlays and cleanup for direct launch.
• Improved the Launch UI so CLI agents and desktop agents are clearer, disabled cards are dimmed, missing desktop agents are hidden, and update checks are shown separately.
• Added a nine-grid terminal layout in the Web dashboard.
• Fixed several Web chat and launch-session edges, including Gemini resume, attachment dedupe, quick-launch refresh, and terminal/workspace picker polish.
• Added updated marketing screenshots and documentation copy for the new desktop and web surfaces.

Changelog

• Refreshed the VibeAround logo and brand mark across README, desktop top bar, tray/app icons, and Web dashboard, and fixed the top-bar mark clipping.

Packages

• macOS Apple Silicon DMG: built locally, Developer ID signed, notarized, stapled, and uploaded to this release.
• Windows x64 Setup EXE and portable ZIP: built by GitHub Actions and uploaded to this release. MSI is omitted for this beta because Windows Installer requires numeric-only prerelease identifiers.
• Linux x64 AppImage and deb: built by GitHub Actions and uploaded to this release.

Known Limitations

• This is a beta release. Back up and migrate local state before upgrading from 0.6.x.
• macOS packaging is Apple Silicon only.
• If a 0.6.x configuration causes Startkit or Launch errors, restore only durable state from the full backup and let 0.7.1-beta rebuild generated cache/runtime data.

• 修复多个 Web chat 和 launch session 边界问题，包括 Gemini resume、附件去重、quick launch 刷新，以及终端/工作区选择体验。
• 更新了面向桌面版和 Web 能力的截图与文档文案。

变更补充

• 更新 VibeAround logo 和品牌标识，覆盖 README、桌面顶部栏、托盘 / 应用图标、Web Dashboard，并修复顶部栏标识裁切问题。

发布包

• macOS Apple Silicon DMG：本地构建，已 Developer ID 签名、公证、staple，并上传到本 release。
• Windows x64 Setup EXE、免安装 ZIP：由 GitHub Actions 构建并上传到本 release。本 beta 省略 MSI，因为 Windows Installer 要求 prerelease 标识只能是数字。
• Linux x64 AppImage、deb：由 GitHub Actions 构建并上传到本 release。

已知限制

• 这是 beta 版本。从 0.6.x 升级前请先备份并迁移本地状态。
• macOS 当前只发布 Apple Silicon 包。
