Radio Automation reads the current temperature and humidity from Weather Underground through their API and shows them in the Up Next section of the main window. The temperature is also used for Temperature Announcements.
You need:
- A Weather Underground API key.
- The station ID of the personal weather station (or other station) whose observations you want.
Enter both in Options > Preferences > Weather Info and make sure Enable Weather Underground is ticked.
- Readings refresh periodically while the app runs. If a request fails, the error is logged and the previous reading stays on screen, so it may be stale.
- Values are rounded to whole numbers.
- Humidity is displayed, but a Humidity Announcement event is not implemented yet (see Scheduler and Events).
- With Weather Underground disabled, no readings are fetched and temperature announcements will use whatever value was last shown.
