LMS authentication

Can anybody help me connect my docker deployment of feishin to my LMS backend?
I (think I) tried all combinations of parameters but I cannot seem to log in.
When I choose what I think is the correct combination:

• URL: server URL
• Username: my username
• password: the API key for the user
• Enable legacy authentication: flagged

I get a popup saying:

"A network error occurred"

and my LMS logs show no access attempt whatsoever.

The server URL you are inputting is probably incorrect.

Network error occurred means that it's not resolving to a valid address.

Did you try the local ip address as well (if your server is hosted on LAN)?

I am not sure about what is happening.
The container can definitely resolve the name; I can ping and wget my LMS server FQDN just fine.
I seem to get erratic behavior from the GUI; I always get the network error popup but get different messages from the LMS server: Wrong username or password. or Provided authentication mechanism not supported..
Then at a certain point I get no more logs from the LMS server, whatever I input in the form; reloading the web page does not solve the issue. Restarting the browser seems to work, until it breaks again.
My LMS server remains fully operational throughout, I can access it just fine from its web interface as well as from other clients I am using.

I understand this is not very helpful, but as I am saying it is very erratic.

Container is docker on aarch64, browser is chromium on linux.

Can you suggest a input configuration for the login form that should work with LMS?

Are you using the api key as noted on the docs? https://github.com/epoupon/lms/blob/master/SUBSONIC.md#authentication

Actually I am.
I am putting my user in the Username field and the corresponding API key in the Password field.
I did not have api-subsonic-support-user-password-auth = false; I added it but this does not seem to fix anything.

That is what I get from LMS:

I set up LMS locally to test:

1. Create user account on setup and refresh page
2. Configure LMS music libraries - added /music directory
3. Triggered scan and scanned files in
4. Opened Subsonic API settings and generated OpenSubsonic API key
5. Copied key
6. In Feishin, add server with api key as password and Legacy Authentication enabled
7. Working

I just did exactly that and got the usual error:

Possible difference from your setup, my LMS server is accessed through HTTPS behind a reverse proxy. Feishin container is running on a docker host in my LAN.
I will try to setup a local LMS server and test with that.

I only receive the Provided authentication mechanism not supported. error if the Legacy Authentication toggle is unchecked.
