Erubi 1.12.0 has been released!

Performance Improvements

• Use erb/escape for faster html escaping if available (jeremyevans)

• Default :freeze_template_literals option to false if running with --enable-frozen-string-literal (casperisfine) (Disable freeze_template_literals if --enable-frozen-string-literal #35)

Backwards Compatibility

If erb/escape is available (by default on Ruby 3.2+), this release changes Erubi.h behavior, returning the input string directly if no escaping is needed. Users are discouraged from calling Erubi.h directly, it is designed only to implement Erubi's internal escaping, where this faster approach will not change behavior.
