APEPU (pronounced /a.peˈpu/) is a PorePy extension dedicated to a posteriori error estimation and adaptive mesh refinement for mixed-dimensional problems.
Built as a natural extension of PorePy’s mixed-dimensional framework, APEPU focuses on reliable error control, mesh adaptivity, and post-processing tools for complex coupled geometries, including fracture networks.
Apepu means bitter orange in Guaraní, the official language of Paraguay 🇵🇾.
APEPU builds upon and unifies ideas originally developed in the previously published packages mdestimates and mdnme.
